Dominican Day at the Ballpark 2019: New York Yankees

The contributions of players from the Dominican Republic past and present were celebrated with nearly a dozen Dominican Day at the Ballpark events at MLB stadiums throughout 2019, a years-long tradition hosted by the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism and LatinoBaseball.com.  At Yankee Stadium in New York City, players Gary Sanchez, Miguel Andujar, Dellin Betances, Edwin Encarnacion, Luis Severino and Domingo German were recognized for their achievements before the game. Panama is surprise winner of 2019 Caribbean Series with win over Cuba

Panama turned out to be the accidental host with the most. A last-minute choice to hold the 2019 Caribbean World Series due to safety concerns over original host country Venezuela’s ongoing political strife, Panama became the tournament's unlikely champion.
